Booking price with Travel website was almost $ night cheaper than some of the other sites we checked. Was scared of some mixed reviews (but you always have someone who's too picky...can't please everyone) Room was nicer than anticipated...had refrigerator/microwave/safe 1 mile from Metro (the best way to get into DC) Staff was very friendly and helpful Continental breakfast was good (i'm a sucker for fresh waffles) Later in the day there was coffee/ cookies in the lobby Enough local fast food around for choice of nibbles Parking lot seemed safe enough Front desk has extra toiletries if you forgot anything (like we forgot toothpaste) Went as a couple looking to spend a few days in DC...definitely a good value that suited our needs....didn't have to drive into DC at all...metro is way easier and convenient to get around...this time of year, all the museums close by 5:30 anyway, so no need to stay out late enough to worry about not catching the last train back (even still, the hotel is only 6-7 miles away from downtown DC if you needed to cab it)....definitely the way to do it!...don't waste $ a night on something "in" the city

This hotel was excactly what my son and i were looking for. 15 minutes from Fedex field. When we checked in the woman behind the counter was very polite and helpfull. Our room was clean and comfortable. The water pressure and hot water in the shower was a little bad, but not a trip killer. There was coffee, juice, cereal, bagels ,muffins,& doughnuts available for breakfast. Good place and a good price for a 1 or 2 night stay. I would stay here again. Dave H. NJ

Upon arriving at the hotel, we discovered that the bathroom had no working lights! My husband went to the hotel desk and informed them of the situation and they made no move to correct it. He finally said if they would get the bulbs ;5 foot florescent lights; he would install them. So in order to have light in the bathroom, we had to make the effort! My husband also put the drapes back on their hooks so that we could have privacy. The air conditioner was not keeping the room cool. When we were in the elevator getting ready to go home, another woman was holding the flush handle to her toilet...it had broken off! Breakfast was another story...no attendant so when the forks ran out, the waffle dough overflowed, the coffee machine leaked...etc...no one was there to help. Wow, we probably won't book with Comfort Inn ever again! One good thing...the pillows were nice.

Both my wife and i got scabies from this hotel, it may be just a case of bad luck but a better hygiene and clenaer rooms would not hurt.
