We own a Summer home in the vicinity and needed to visit at this time of year to check on some construction. So, although we have driven past this hotel daily for 10 years, we have never had an occassion to stay here. Our room had been recently renovated, was very clean, and the beds and pillow selections were fabulous. The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby with fresh coffee every evening made our stay during quite chilly weather very appreciated and a nice touch. Great ocean views from our balcony ---- we could see our house across the Bay! We'll be returning again this winter to check on the construction progress and will definitley stay here again.

Hotel is very central to traveling the coast of Maine. A good value for the money. Staff always trying to be accomodating to any needs. Our room assignement had been changed for some unknown reason. They ended up giving us a suite at no further exoense. Deserts at cafe were excellent-other meals were fair to good. Great view of water and decks from almost every room. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel again. Maine is a great state to viist and this hotel made the experience a wonderful trip at a very economical rate.

A great location to stay when traveling between destinations. Room was clean but not spotless as it was not brand new. A very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. The main door to our room opens from the inside of the hotel but there was a 2nd door for the outside patio that faces the ocean. Nonetheless, we felt safe. Imagine a hotel that advertises an ocean view that actually has one! Our patio also had chairs to sit on to enjoy morning coffee and the sunrise.
We arrived late so we did not get to find a good restaurant. But the Dairy Queen in town served one of the best fast food burgers I have ever eaten. This place is a value! -
Not a good place to stay
08/13/2007The room was dingy and old, not very clean. staff was not friendly or helpful at all. there are several hotels adjacent, i would recommend trying one of them.

We stayed here to break up a long trip to PEI. What an outstanding place to stay. Every room has a view of the sea and a belcony. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The breakfast was great with very friendly staff. We stay in hotels very often and this one I truely recommend.
