The Comfort Inn in Old Saybrook finally renovated.. We stayed there last year and we were not going to come back. However when we saw the prices and the updates online we thought we would give it a shot again. Really nice renovations.. They need Flat screens in the rooms though. They could also spend some money on the toilets and tub fixtures, but ither than that, really nice. Great price for the money and staff was VERY friendly and really knew alot about the area! Finally the place was renovated! We stayed many times over the last three years and we were not going to stay again until we saw the renovations which were needed! Nice job! My family and I were going to buy two rooms, but they have rooms with two king beds, which was great for our family. They also opend the restaurant which we were relectant to use the first night but the second night we ordered rooms service and it was GOOD! We were shocked! I mean it was really good... We will definitely go back.. Kodos to the owners for the renovations and changes! P Coleman Mineral VA

My husband, my 4 year old son and I decided to take a trip to the shore and we picked the Comfort Inn because of the good reputation. The Hotel was cute, not a 5 star Hotel by any means, but it was clean, the room was big and the staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast included making your own waffles which was very nice. The hotel was close to everything and easy to get to. It was a fun little trip, we'll definitely go stay there again. By the way, if you have kids, you have to check out the Dinosaur Place in Montville. It was so much fun, our son really enjoyed it. It was about 25 minutes from the Hotel and a great way to spend the day.

On our last vaction we stayed in 3 different hotels - all budget style. For the money, this was by far the best night. The room was inexpensive and very large for our family of 5. The room was obviously older and by no means fancy, but very clean and everything worked fine. The pool was warm and clean (although the chlorine was a bit strong!). Our breakfast was fine - a nice variety with a very nice attendant constantly refilling the pastries and juice. Nothing extraordinary about our one night stay, but very pleasant. Just what we expect from a family friendly hotel.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! The only reason that my family stayed the night was because it was 2:00 am. A/C didn't work, old soap bar popped up from the bathtub drain when shower turned on, key cards not needed to enter-exterior doors didn't lock! I can't believe Comfort Inn brand is associated with this hotel. The manager acted like she was doing me a favor by discounting the room. If it had been daylight, it would have been free! I would have left immediately!!
