From the moment the car pulled up to the entrance of the Comfort Suites Gastonia, I had a feeling that this place would be good. There was beautiful brick-red tiling at the entrance, a bench and ashtray a distance away from the entrance so that those who wanted to could smoke, and those who did not want to did not have to deal with second hand smoke. All around the hotel were neatly trimmed bushes and appealing floral arrangements. The Concierges, (Sandy in the daytime and Angel in the evening) were welcoming and friendly and gave me a lot of information. The dining area was very nice and the establishment was very clean. The hotel had a fitness center, business center, and a swimming pool. The room was large and spacious. It came with an iron and ironing board, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and hair dryer in the restroom. The bathroom was also large and clean with a large clean shower. The shower head had multiple settings so that you could even receive a massage while you bathed. Hot water always being available is a super plus! The air conditioner worked perfectly, the bed was like a giant cloud. I enjoyed my stay, and quite honestly, was a little sad to go. The complimentary breakfast, which included many options from biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs, cereals, coffee, juice, fruit, bagels, muffins, waffles... Need I say more? Conveniently minutes away from the Charlotte airport, staying here is a no-brainer.
