We have stayed here on three different occasions. The most recent stay was the best. We had booked two rooms at another nearby hotel. When we arrived there, (after driving seven hours through a blizzard) they did not have the rooms that we had reserved even though we called ahead to tell them we would be delayed because of the weather. They suggested we try this hotel. Despite the blizzard, the hotel had two non-smoking rooms that were spacious, clean and equipped with a mini-refrigerator, microwave oven, hair dryer, Cable TV, two queen-sized beds, and plenty of room for the dog kennel. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a nice variety of food choices. The staff was friendly. The pool was warm, clean and inviting. They quickly removed the 11+ inches of snow from the sidewalks and parking lot. After being turned away by the hotel up the road in the dead of the night, it was nice to find a place that was welcoming, inviting and comfortable. When we were reminded by family members that they had recommended this hotel during our previous visits, we decided that all future visits to Marshalltown would include a reservation here. It may not be the cheapest, but it is the most consistent, dependable and customer friendly choice in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Marshalltown Comfort Inn. The lobby was inviting, very clean, in fact, all that we saw was well kept & clean. The kids really enjoyed the pool. There have been some hotels with indoor pools that we've stayed at, where you could smell the chlorine as soon as you got near it - this was not the case here! The room was really nice, a good size, comfortable beds, clean bathroom (no mold or mildew). The breakfast room was well kept and clean. There was someone monitoring it constantly, cleaning tables, mixing more waffle batter in batches so it never was always fresh, well stocked. I would definitely stay here again!
