    The room was very clean and comfortable. Very good customer service. I was in town for a funeral and had to make a number of local calls. Each local call is 75 cents. It added up quickly. However, it certainly met my high standards of cleanliness and comfort. When I asked where the laundry facilities were located, they gave me free detergent. Very good service. Would highly recommend this hotel unless you plan on making a large amount of local calls from your room.

    My family and I got into Des Moines late without reservations. The young lady who checked us in was very friendly and gave us a great rate. the buffet manager, was WONDERFUL! Everyone on the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We did a lot of driving on this trip in our quest to see all 50 states, and the friendly services was appreciated.

    Each plush bed has five pillows of various firmness levels which allows the sleeper to mix and match them for individual comfort. Aside from the great rest, after I checked out, I realized several hours later that I had left some jewelry on the night stand. I returned to the hotel and the housekeeping staff located my missing jewelry and returned it to me. I really appreciate this kind of service!
