If you are not familar with Courtyards, you'll probably like this hotel. If you are familar with the Courtyard hotels you will be disappointed. This hotel is well below the Courtyard standards. The rooms need to be updated and there is still a 19"" blurry television in all of the rooms. Breakfast is overpriced and the food just ""okay"". There is an IHOP a short walking distance from the hotel. The windows have years of dried condensation on them which means you really can't see out them. I mentioned this to staff during July 2008 and Feb 2009 stays, but the as of June 2009 the windows are still nasty. Noise from the NW Expressway was bothersome during a July 2008 and Feb 2009 stay and a room on the other side of the hotel was not much better. AC/heater unit makes a considerable amount of noise when it is operating as well. Didn't have any hot water in the hotel the first morning. Front desk staff was apologetic and offered a room at the Hyatt for ""showering purposes only"", but I was running late and didn't want to mess with it. I checked out early and do not plan on returning to this hotel until it is remodeled or under new ownership. In speaking with the front desk staff, they expressed frustration toward the owners for not really taking care of the property (they said they have been trying to get the room windows cleaned for a really long time now). You are better off at the Hyatt Place next door as it is larger rooms, a newer hotel, and better prices.

This is an older Courtyard and couold use some updating. Rooms were small but clean. TV is a miniscule 19"", and they could do a lot better. Property is overall clean and we felt safe although it is not in the best area of town. The breakfast, if you can get it included with your stay was good and had a good variety of choice. It is 10.95 a person, so if it isn't including in your room rate, I would go elsewhere for breakfast. The main problem we had is that we had two rooms booked. The morning of our stay my son became ill and was unable to go, so I got on the internet and changed the reservation from 2 rooms to 1. When we got to the hotel at 3pm, they still showed two rooms, but the girl at the desk said she would cancel the other one. Well, both rooms got billed to the credit card. I called and they have promised to take the second room off, as I have verification that the second room was canceled by internet. I would think twice about staying here again. If the rates were cheap enough I would, but if I had to pay full price, I would go to the Hyatt Place next door that is brand new and much larger nicer rooms.
