  The purpose of our trip to Monteagle was to bring our son to the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, for his freshman year. This was our first trip to the area.
  
  The motel was somewhat shabby in appearance. The staff was reasonably friendly. There was a little confusion about our reservation through online travel website, but it was resolved without much trouble. The room was very plain, several electrical outlets did not work, and it was obvious that our non-smoking room was previously smoked in (but not recently). The air conditioner was loud, but functional. Comfort was average.
  
  The free breakfast was OK - the available items included coffee, juice (orange or apple), cereal, danish, muffins, toast, scrambled eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Our first morning, we didn't get up until 9 a.m., and the eggs and biscuits were finished (and not replaced).
  
  We would stay there again in a pinch, but I think we will look for another motel for our next trip to Monteagle.

  Single woman at midnight, had to drive way to the back in a scary area. price was great. pillow was hard! sheets were clean. nothing to get excited about. days ...

  Single woman at midnight, had to drive way to the back in a scary area. Price was great. Pillow was hard! Sheets were clean. Nothing to get excited about. Days Inn is usually lots better than this in my experience but also usually costs more.
