  I normally stay at the BW in Atmore but figured I would try and save some money and booked 3 days in this hotel. When I arrived I checked in and was given a non smoking room after having booked a smoking. I could have dealt with that but upon entering the room it was B-A-R-E-L-Y clean enough to not make me shudder. Having been in the car for the last 4 hours the washroom was first priority and I walked in to find two dead cockroaches on the bathroom floor and a live one in the toilet paper roll. Not ten minutes had elapsed since my check in so obviously the room was not checked or ensured to be clean . While I don't expect luxury for*** dollars per night I do expect a clean roon and for it to be checked for bugs and the like prior to me getting it. There were no issues when I returned to the desk to check out but the staff didn't even bother to try and make it right other than a muttered ""sorry"". Simply put, save your time and effort and do not even bother with this hotel!! Drive the 10 munites up the road to the BW and spend the extra 20/night. Their rooms have always been clean and bug free and they are far more accomodating to their patrons!
