  The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. When we got to our room at 7:30 pm the room was still not ready for occupancy. The bedspread was torn. There were hairs on my sheets. The ceiling in the bathroom was mouldy and showed signs of a water leak upstairs. All of the lamps were unplugged and the shades were bent out of shape. The floor in the bathroom and vanity area had not been swept, probably not mopped either. The towels were clean, but terribly stained. The door security latch was only hanging on by a single loose screw, so we put a chair in front of the door. When we arrived there was no toilet paper anywhere in the room or bathroom, had to go to the desk for it.
  We had been bumped from a flight and had to overnight in Atlanta for an early morning flight so staying near the airport was import and a shuttle essential, which is the only reason we stayed. Our luggage had gone on to SFO without us, so we had no clothes or toiletries. Even though there was a sign in the bathroom that said they had them available, my husband asked twice at the front desk and they were never offered.
  The breakfast of cereal, milk, bread, doughnuts, coffee and tea was opened at 5:00 am for us so we could get a bite before catching the shuttle back to the airport.

  Pictures on the internet have you believing your going to be staying at a nice place for the price your paying. But when I arrived at the motel I was totally dissapointed. The building is located off the main street behind a deserted and closed restaurant. The bathroom was dirty with the former occupants body matter on it, hair and urine. I told the staff who were not friendly, they told me in so many words I would have to wait until tomorrow because the clean up people had left. They made no attempts to change my room or anything that night. The room overal was in poor condition, dirty walls, rusted door lock, chairs that go to the table look as if someone urinated or something on them. The bed linen was no better, I came to Atlanta on an emergency and with little funds so I had no other place or opportunity to stay somewhere else, so I covered one of the chairs with a sheet I brought from home and the whole time I slept in the covered up chair. This place is really a discrace to what I considered to be the travel lodge name. The sign on the side of the freeway said it was a days inn, but when you go to the building thats when you knew it was travel lodge but not from the street or freeway would you recognize it for travel lodge. And also because I was on a tight budget I specifically asked was it near the marta train and it was not, on the marta bus was near within a two block walk.
