The staff person that checked us in was very polite and tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We were in the area for a family reunion and booked two rooms. Our room was a king room. I woke to find a roach crawling in the bed and later noticed one crawling on the wall. There were other bugs on the floor like a black hard shelled bug that crawled under the door because of the large gap in the door. The room my mom and friend were in was infested with spiders. Two were killed and the morning we checked out a very large spider was in the bathroom and we did not kill it. A great concern is that the bed cover is on the floor which would allow for the spider to crawl up the cover and into the bed. To accommodate us for our roach dilemna, the staff person did treat the room while we were at the park. I did not see any more roaches, but who knows. When I explained the ordeal to the manager to seek some type of compensation like maybe one free nights stay or even 1/2 off the room price for one night, I was told there was nothing that could be done because the hotel was just sprayed earlier in the week and maybe the roaches were brought in by other guest. I probably will not stay at this facility again unless it is a dire emergency. It appears work is being done on the rooms like fresh paint, but our bathroom had a regular seat on an oblong comode. This is a very simple fix especially since Wal-Mart is just across the street. Good luck if you stay here.
