Honestly, at the price we paid, and based on some previous reviews, I thought we'd have problems but the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and housekeeping did an excellent job restocking towels and tidying up. A shuttle was available to take us to the airport and all of the drivers were friendly as was the motel staff. AC was a bit noisy as per my companion but I slept soundly.

Where do I begin? We arrived at the airport shuttle pickup area around 10:40am. We called the Days Inn Hotel and the lady at the front desk said she would send a shuttle immediately. Forty-five minutes later, we called again, wondering where our shuttle was. We were informed it was in route. Twenty minutes later (65min total) it arrived. It took us twelve minutes to arrive at the hotel. We informed the front desk that tomorrow (Sunday) we would need a taxi to take us 3.5 miles down the street to a church we would be attending. She informed me that this would be no problem. Sunday rolled around, and we showed up at the front desk at 8:20am. A taxi was called, but it didn't show up. I did see, however, quite a few angry hotel guests - ranging from people that didn't have working fridges in their room, to people who had been waiting on an iron for over an hour, to people who had missed out on the 12 donuts that had been placed out for breakfast at 8:00am, to people who were waiting on a taxi that never arrived. Three taxi calls and 55 minutes later, our taxi took us the 3.5 miles to church. We made it an hour and twenty minutes late, but we were glad to get out of there. Our hotel was livable....Luckily we didn't require any extra amenities, breakfast, a fridge, or an ironing board. We also didn't notice any bedbugs, which was a relief. I bet they're still waiting at the airport for a shuttle.

Good Hotel... if you have no sense of smell

While the price of the hotel was reasonable, the staff was friendly and helpful, the Wi-Fi was free, and traffic noise was minimal in spite of its proximnity to the highway and airport, it smelled REALLY BAD. And the "continental breakfast" was coffee, toast, and a Krispy Kreme. In addition, it turns out there are like 4 Days Inn hotels near the airport (a fact that was NOT mentioned when we called for the shuttle) and they don't label their shittle with anything other than Days Inn. This meant we ended up at the WRONG ONE for our first trip, and had to go back to the hotel and then find the RIGHT shuttle. Overall, I would say you could stay here if desperate or only sleeping and leaving, but don't plan any kind of extended stay here.

The staff was friendly, and the accomodations were fine; nothing fancy. I've stayed in better and I've also stayed in worse. I did not feel completely safe in the area, though, and I heard sirens in the distance a few times during my stay.

Day Inn
07/19/2008Very basic, not a good value even though it was a good price for a stay.
