We stayed at the Days Inn Farmer City, IL on Oct. 9, 2009. The motel is older and not fancy, but our room was clean, they served a good breakfast (even freshly made waffles), and they had a very friendly and helpful desk attendant. We couldn't have expected more for the price. Ruth from Minnesota

This hotel is okay if you are in a pinch and can't find anything else. This looked like an older Days Inn and not near as nice as some of the others I have stayed in. The room said non-smoking but stunk like smoke. The bathroom door wouldn't shut right. They do not have biscuits and gravy for breakfast, only waffles, cereal, etc. The cable on the television wasn't even plugged in when we got there, but the manager did come down quickly and fix that. Like they say, "You get what you pay for".

  • Good option for Illini football weekends when Champaign is booked.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel is actually closer to Champaign than Danville. They list Danville as Champaign area hotel but not this one in Farmers City. It is in the process of renovation under new ownership. The staff was friendly. Breakfast included make your own waffles from premixed batter, biscuits and gravy, and the usual fruit, cereal, etc. The exercise room had some bikes/treadmills to keep the routine from being totally lost while out of town. Easy drive to Champaign for the evening Michigan game. Several other Michigan fans stayed here and said it was one of the better away stays they've had as they go from Big 10 site to Big 10 site each year. Room had King bed, Microwave, and Refrigerator so I could keep our tailgating stuff cold before and after the game. I would definately consider this place again for an Illini game in the future.
