The front desk staff were not that friendly, but they were efficient. The towels in our room were dirty - not used dirty, just stained, but heavily and obviously stained. And one of the electrical outlets wouldn't hold a plug in it. But the rest of the room was OK, and they gave me a free sewing kit when I asked. The bathroom was clean enough, and our room was exactly what we reserved. It's inexpensive ;I think I paid about $80 for the night; but you get what you pay for, and this wasn't bad.

When we arrived I had to wait for almost 10 minutes for someone to attend to the front desk. When he finally came he did not look happy and was not friendly. My room was missing two light bulbs.

  • Scary, but maybe one of the better in town

If you are headed to the Grand Canyon for your family vacation, you may want to do yourself a favor and stay closer to Flagstaff, or at one of the very nice looking places near the South Rim. The room was allright furnishing wise, however, the wifi system is spotty at best, and the electrical outlets in the room would spark, pop, and then shock you when you tried to plug anything into the socket. Someone had put electrical tape over one set of outlets apparently as a deterrent against using your appliances. There were three lamps in the room, only one had a lightbulb. Our room was right against the stairs and you could hear the foot traffic up and down all night. The only two positives that I have are that the staff is very friendly and took our complaints with a smile and curteous replies. The free breakfast was a little lackluster, but there is a Denny's across the parking lot. After a drive through the town of Williams, however, and looking at the other hotels/motels available in town, the Days Inn looked like it may be the nicest of the bunch, next to the Best Western, which is up the hill from the Days Inn, and looked very nice, but cost twice as much.

  • Nice room, bad service.

The front desk clerk was one of the crankiest, rudest clerks we've dealt with. You couldn't pry a friendly word out of his mouth. The continental breakfast had no variety and they ran out of a lot of what they did have. The room was nice. They ran out of non-smoking king so they gave us the presidential sweet. It was comfortable and roomy. Outside of the room, the hotel was not very clean and it was outdated. Besides all that, the awful customer service was the thing that stuck out the most. They really need to get that guy out of there.

  • Really old and poorly maintained

The beds are as bad as any I've slept on in 45 years. There is no semblance of sound proofing. The room was as private as a bus station. The quality is certainly not consistent with the many Days Inn I've visited before.
