On the last leg of our fall color tour of upper Michigan, we stopped at the Days Inn of Cadillac. BIG MISTAKE!!! Location wise, it was really great. It is on a quiet stretch of highway, near some nice restaurants. The front desk staff was very helpful. The room STUNK! The layout was not good at all. If you like having a light on in case you need to get up in the night, be prepared to have noise from the exhaust fan all night. Where toilet is - why have an exhaust fan light only? It makes no sense and is VERY VERY LOUD. The walls were so thin between rooms that the people in the room next to us tapped on the walls because they could hear us and we were only talking to each other. The shower - be prepared for a COLD one. We turned the handle all the way over to hot (for each shower) and it never got above luke warm to cold either time. The beds were extremely uncomfortable - very very soft and the pillow as worthless. The in room safe & refrigerator were very nice things to have. The desk was not in the best location; if you roll over in the night you might hit it with your face very easily. Price wise, it was reasonable, but I would have much rather preferred staying somewhere else. Also, if you don't like stairs - don't stay here as there is not an elevator. With a family member with a heart condition, this stunk as the 1st floor rooms were booked.

Our visit lasted for 2 nights and both mornings the breakfast bar was empied early by people who were working in the area. When asked if they could restock the bar one morning there was nothing left and the other alittle was brought out. Forced to by our breakfast. Other than that the room was clean and the service was satisfactory.

We went and stayed there just to get away from the stresses of home for 1 night. Got a babysitter and just enjoyed the relaxation. The hot tub was awesome.. continental breakfast was nice and the staff rocked, just want to say thanks for the nicest little vacation in a VERY LONG time...u made it perfect!
