The hotel was nice on the outside. The actual outside of the building was being remodeled. Upon arriving at the front desk the staff was very friendly and the parking was free and there was ample enough parking. When we first entered the room I was disappointed. The carpeting was stained and the chair by the bed was supposed to be white but it too was in need of a bath. The bathroom was fairly clean but it needed some ceiling work done. The walls in the room had been patched. It was ok but clearly in need of some work. The TV worked well and the room did have a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. It also had a full size iron and board as well as hair dryer. Once I got over the initial first impression I was ok with it. We did check behind the headboard for signs of bed bugs and there were none. The bed and linens always appeared clean. The cleaning staff always did an excellent job of cleaning the room every day. There was a continental breakfast every morning and that was very good. Lots of choices, not just cold cereal and rolls. The pool area was nice and always clean. I would stay here again. I understand that they are planning to remodel the interior of the rooms after the exterior is completed. They are planning on putting in flat screens in every room. I'm sure however that this will increase the price. For the cost though I believe it was a decent place to stay. One other thing, there weren't many restaurants nearby.
