I waited in the lobby forever to be checked in by a woman who seemed annoyed to have customers. The floor in our room feels gross on your bare feet, and there is a very potent cleaner smell. If you must stay here, request one of the rooms facing the pool, they have little patios. The pool and jauzzi are nice.

Bad hotel
08/03/2009The hotel is right on the freeway so the freeway noise is inescapable. our bathroom had a cracked mirror... a big crack. the toilet seat laminate was bubbling and coming ...
The hotel is right on the freeway so the freeway noise is inescapable. Our bathroom had a cracked mirror... a BiG crack. The toilet seat laminate was bubbling and coming off. The bed was old and stiff and almost falling off it's pedestal. In our second room the air conditioner was leaking moisture on to the carpet and not working at all and the beds in this room were damp. The door of the 2nd room had a big crack in it as well. The free breakfast consisted of only sugar. NOT WORTH THE "LOW" COST!!!!

At first the individual at the front desk was somewhat grumpy, but after asking a few questions about places to visit he had a better attitude and was very helpful. The breakfast was a little disappointing.

Solvang and Pea Soup

This Hotel was a great stop on our California Trip. Close to Solvang but not right in the traffic. We didn't realize they were so close to Pea Soup Anderson's when we made the reservation and that was a great plus. And, they have a nice little bar on the premises so we didn't have to go far to enjoy evening drinks and entertainment. Nice Pool and Hot Tub right outside the Patio Door of our room where we could also sit and enjoy the weather. Overall this Motel provided easy one stop services for the tired traveler, with easy on and off from hwy 101.
