about 6 a.m., the maids come by with their carts rattling loudly outside the doors on the concrete walkways. I asked why, and they said that they need to start that early to get the clean sheets done in time for the 3pm checkin. 2 things: 1) they're too cheap to have a change of sheets for the entire hotel. 2) they're too cheap to hire enough maids to do the rooms between the mandatory 11am checkout and the 3pm checkin. My sleep shouldn't have to suffer for their cheapness. I'm NEVER staying here again!

We stayed at this Days Inn on our way to the beach from Ohio. We chose it because we've had great stays at other Days Inn and we wanted someplace with a pool. First of all, we were disappointed to discover this was a motel. I guess close scrutiny of their website photo confirms this, but those words do not actually appear anywhere online. We prefer the security of hotels. Second, the room was a bit dated and not that clean. Third, we discovered the following morning that the pool opens at 10:00 but check-out is at 11:00. We skipped the pool and headed for breakfast. Luckily, we came across a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and make-your-own fresh waffles. The desk staff were not helpful for finding local excursions or estimating drive times.
