I stayed for one night in July. The room was a non smoking and much much nicer than I expected. There was a mini fridge and microwave, which I didn't know was there beforehand. The only thing I was unsatisfied with was the comfort of the bed. I had a hard time sleeping, but my friend said it was way comfortable, so maybe it was just me.

My daughter and I stayed here because we wanted to do some bike riding along the C and O rail trail that runs through town..The location was good for our purpose (about 1/2 mile from the trail).....The room itself was comfortable and clean.. The staff was friendly (my daughter had a problem with a vending machine and they fixed the problem with a smile)...The free continental breakfast, though not lavish, was well done and had the basics (english muffins, cereal, coffee, etc.. On the negative side, we noticed a STRONG odor in the hallway where our room was...It almost smelled like burnt food...Not sure what it was, but it stayed the entire time we were there..Fortunately, the odor did NOT carry over to the room....Hancock seems like a nice, small town....If you're passing through, and need a place to stay for a night, at a good rate, this is a good value....Mike in Virginia Beach, Va
