Bad, stay away.
03/11/2009We were with a girls team, 4 rooms in all. one had poop left in the toilet at checkin. 3 rooms had hair in the tub (including ours). water changed ...
We were with a girls team, 4 rooms in all. One had poop left in the toilet at checkin. 3 rooms had hair in the tub (including ours). Water changed temp during shower, cold for a few seconds several times during a 10 minute shower. 2nd floor non-smoking rooms smell of smoke, and there is no elevator. Our room had gooey stuff in the sink, not toothpaste. Free breakfast of hard doughnuts and mixed orange drink (no coffee) was sparse. After the event we returned to find one room had clothing stolen (2 of the girls had all their undies taken), and (there's a trend here) poop left in the stool while we were out. Location is best for city or industrial business.

The free continental breakfast lacked coffee. The guy on duty couldn't make it as the manager was away and had the key to the room. Three or four donuts, three or four slices of toast already toasted! Huh? All rooms are interior hallway. The side exterior door nearest our room had no lock on it. Anyone can enter the hotel. Don't look under the toilet rim. I had to pick something off the floor and got a view of the underside toilet rim. Doubt it has ever been thoroughly cleaned since Reagan was President. Pillows are a personal preference but were too thick/high. Forced my head to an upright position. Better to sleep without a pillow. The parking lot had a big pot hole. Not sure who is to blame for it as it sits at the border of the lot to the convenience store next door. I'm sure both owners are pointing fingers at each other about who is responsible.

The Econo Lodge is okay for the money. It is clean but worn. It is obvious the place is used quite a bit. The second floor rooms are all smoking rooms - a non-smoking room was unavailable. I had to open the window to air the place out. First night was pleasant until it was aired out. The continental breakfast was terrible. Boxed donuts and white bread, coofee, and orange juice. The bread was all gone by 7:00 AM. They quite a few construction workwers staying there. Bottom line - the place fit my needs since it was close to my relatives house.
