We pulled into the Econo Lodge with some trepidation after a long day on the road, and were very pleasantly surprised. From the service at the front desk, which was friendly and helpful, to the quality of the room (complete with hot tub), we were very happy. The room was light, airy and spacious, and while we paid a fair bit for the room $*, it was every bit as comfortable as a room for which we would expect to pay much more. With the location just a few minutes drive from the ferry over to the old part of Quebec City, we would stay here again.

This hotel had the worst room I have ever seen in a North American hotel: dark, tiny, and overpriced, even in Canadian dollars. The rooms were so dirty, inch thick of dust (not renovation dust either) stains on the furniture, bugs, wall plaster coming off. When we complained to the person on duty, he didn't seem to care much and just said he would pass on the info to the management. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but checked out of the ghetto the morning after the first night. DO NOT STAY here, it is absolutely horrible!
