Will not stay here again

We stayed at this hotel last year. First we had to wait for the room to be ready. We waited in the dining area and there were buckets spread around for the water dripping in. We were finally able to get to the room. We had a pleasant enough time at the managers reception then went to bed. In the middle of the night we heard a loud noise and went into the living room to find the drapes had fallen down and there was water all over the floor from where it had leaked in. The rug was soaked and every step brought up water. We were unable to move to another room and no offer of refund or move to another hotel was made. Hopefully problems have been resolved.

The stay was Ok but when I checked in, the front desk was not aware that the reservation was prepaid.( they asked how I wanted to pay ??). The first day my wife fell due to a slipery bathtub (no rubber mat or a non slip device). And the toilet stopped up the first day the first time it was used. One time I went down to get a cup of coffee about 10 min. after the complimentary breakfast was closed and a kitchen staff member informed me very sternly that the coffee would cost me $2.00 ( I don't know how she knew I hadn't intended to pay in the first place!). Other than those instances the hotel was fine and the experience was OK.

04/10/2009Most appreciated was the excellent complimentary breakfast. rooms were spacious and pleasant. only negative was that the a/c needed to be set for heat, and the cleanup person tinkered ...
Most appreciated was the excellent complimentary breakfast. Rooms were spacious and pleasant. Only negative was that the a/c needed to be set for heat, and the cleanup person tinkered with it every day so it needed readjusting. Parking was adequate, and most personnel very helpful.

Excellent overnight stopover before a weeklong gateway in Cancun. Hotel rate included mgr's reception with drinks and snacks in the evening and hot cook to order breakfast that is typical embassy suits in the morning and 8 days parking was included in the tariff. Excellent suite for a family of 4, prompt and frequent shuttle to and from airport that is just 5 minutes away, very friendly and curteous staff.
Icing on the cake: On my way back from vacation we were picked up promptly from the airport and dropped next to the car. To my dismay my car's battery was dead from staying out in cold for a week. I walked back to the hotel on hope. Presto they even had a jump thing to get me going in 10 minutes (even without that piece of exceptional service I'd have rated them excellent). I'd definitely stay again when planning my next flight out of STL. -
