The room was not clean, missing most of the ammenities, and the A/C was moldy. I emailed the Chain for "America's Best" and they contacted the owner and he refunded my room cost. I will never stay there again.

We looked in one room the AC was broken w/the front part hanging off, another part jacked up as well. I told the clerk she gave us another room, the same thing, broken AC but not as bad. The front cover was hanging. We did a brief look, checked the room out, put the chair up against the AC cover to keep it up. We were tired, it was late the kids were getting cranky and tired of sitting in a car all day so we got the room. After we unpacked and were ready to shower and sleep we started seeing all these things.Dead cockroach on floor. Live cockroaches roaming about. There was a dirty towel in bathroom, dirty q-tip on the floor in vanity area, an almost empty Mr Pibb soda in the fridge, a snack wrapper on the floor, chewed up battery on the floor(looks like a dog did it), a candy thing on the floor, mold in the shower, the floor looks like it had not been vacuumed in weeks, stain on the bedding, burnt cigarette holes in the comforter, hair in the sink and the tub/shower was filthy. There were hair and dirt all over the bathroom floor. We asked for new "clean" sheets. The manager brought them to us so we complained about all of this. My mother invited him in to show him what we were talking about, he decllined and said he would not charge us for that night. It was too late to find another place, the kids were tired and we already searched for 3 hrs for a decent hotel in a decent area.
