The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We needed a roll-away bed but hadn't requested it when we made the reservation and the hotel was quite booked. Our room was clean but the toilet clogged twice, then overflowed onto the floor. Luckily we were on the first floor and close to the front desk. We cleaned up the mess with towels they provided, and they immediately gave us a big break on the room price.

We stayed 2 nights while seeing the sights in and around central Virginia. The hotel was very clean, the staff was just great, the room was clean and quiet and the location was super. The hotel is 3 miles from Univ of VA; 10 miles from Montecello and 20 miles from Mountpelier.

Our family of four (2 parents, 2 preteen girls) stayed there while visiting family. We really found it to be delightful. The hotel is very nicely updated, with fresh common areas and very nice rooms. Bedding is comfortable, and furniture is basic but functional. Wifi worked blazingly fast. Free breakfast buffet had good quality items, and was kept clean and fully-stocked, even on busy holiday weekend mornings. The staff and manager seemed all to be noticeably friendlier and more responsive than we are used to. We feel we have found a new place to stay when visiting family in Charlottesville.
