This hotel charged (notice I said charged) money on my credit card in anticipation of incidentals. I know it is customary to put funds on reserve, but the Fairfield actually sent the transaction through immediately. In this day of cell phones etc., that is completely ridiculous. Then when I complained, they said it would take 7-10 days before they could run the refund. Additionally upon check-in, they pretended that they did not have record of a Travel online reservation (even though my name was in their system as confirmed) and tried to get me to pay again.
