Terrible hotel, but good location.

If you are traveling for business, do NOT stay at this hotel. Here is why.... 1.) The wireless internet is terrible. The signal gets dropped randomly as signal strength fluctuates. I could not rely on the connection to do my job. I am a network engineer, so this isn't about me not understanding how to connect. 2.) The beds are hard as a rock, and very bouncy. When you lie down, it pushes back. Some people like this, so this is not always a bad thing. I like soft comfortable beds, so these are terrible. I woke up with neck and back pains each morning I was there. I slept in my chair one night, and almost opted for the floor. 3.) Showers are small, and have very nominal water pressure, even in non-peak water usage times. 4.) The hotel is older, and very rundown compared to other Fairfields. 5.) For a * or more per night, it should be way better. The very nice casino in Lake Charles is also * per night during the week. The good.... 1.) It is right off I-10, so easy in and out. 2.) Breakfast is free, and good. 3.) Waffle House next door, and a Sonic a block away. 4.) Nice pool and hot tub.
