The Palmer House is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location to get a feel for Chicago. The only issue we had was the size of the bathroom. The room was small but very nice. Main lobby was a spectacular place to sit and enjoy the ambience. We would stay here again on future trips. Kevin and Karen Mc Cauley.

The "absolute, hands down, most gorgeous hotel" I've ever stayed in! I have traveled the world for business and pleasure for over 30 years and I've never such beauty and elegance at every turn! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, customer service was #1! It was right in beautiful Downtown Chicago, perfect location! It was an honor to sleep there! It felt like we were "Queens in a beautiful Castle!"

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of the Palmer House is the lobby. It is absolutely beautiful - even if you do not end up staying at this hotel, its certainly worth a look or staying for a drink and soaking in the atmosphere. We just returned from an amazing Chicago Marathon weekend. We arrived around 11am on Friday (marathon was Sunday) and I was able to check-in immediately. I had fully expected to check my bags and try to find something else to do while the rest of our party arrived. Instead, I was able to relax in my room. The room was quite large - and two closets which was a plus. Bathrooms were really tiny though - barely enough room to lay anything out on the counter. The concierge was helpful and was able to advise where to get Metra passes, how to get to Ditkas and providing a list of restaurants near the hotel. The hotel was pretty full and they could have used another person or two at the concierge desk. The location was great (one of the reasons why we selected the hotel) - walking distance to the start and finish (Grant Park). The hotel is also easily accessible via the Blue, Red and Orange line. The one down side of the htoel is that internet access was expensive ($* per day and that was the cheapest). Unfortunately, I had some work I needed to follow up so I had to shell out the money. I would stay here again so long as it was not work related.

This week we stayed at the Palmer House and much to our surprise the room and lobby was exactly like the photos. The service was great, room was very comfortable, view wasn't great but we didn't care. The hotel is wonderfully located right next to the red line, the CTA loop train and Michigan Ave where we could catch any bus. We've never not had a car, so this was the first time using public transportation and had no problems. I would recommended visiting the CVS across the street and purchase a CTA pass. We will definately stay here again on our next visit.

Hotel is nice and historic. Location is okay, somewhat of a walk to heart of Michigan Ave, but close to Millenium Park. Felt like they nickel and dime their guests for pretty much everything from using the gym, high speed internet, to even the minor incidentals (toothpaste, razor, etc. W
