Arriving on May 1 with a 1 day reservation made through the Internet, I asked the desk clerk what the cost would be if I stayed two weeks. Receiving an acceptable answer, I said, "Ok, we'll stay until May 17." Seven days later we were told that the hotel was booked, that we did not have a reservation, that we would have to leave that day, and that we would be charged the one day rate for each of the seven days because we did not have a reservation. The manager was extraordinarily rude, and would not even wait for the arrival of the desk clerk, an hour later, to inquire whether she remembered the discussion described above.

The staff greeted me with a warm welcome and a smile. My room at least had recently been remodeled - new AC unit, the sink was new, the tub had been refinished. The room definitely offered everything I needed for one night and would stay here again. Since it was homecoming weekend - the rate was a little steep, but they did let me just book for one night. Other hotels were requiring two nights at a steep rate, so thank you Howard Johnson. The breakfast wasn't a huge spread, but my son enjoyed the waffles and muffins, and I enjoyed the sausage biscuits and apple juice. Thank you Howard Johnson for a good night.

We stayed at this hotel during an open house at UGA. The young woman who checked us in was warm and friendly. The room was small but fairly clean. The next morning we went down for breakfast, the lady at the desk was cold and stared at myself and my daughter. She never gave me a copy of the bill, never told me what I was being charged, even after I asked, and berated me for booking the room over the internet.
