  We found the photos of this place very misleading. We travel a lot and try to stay at Hampton whenever possible, and have come accustomed to a certain level of cleanliness. This place fell well short of our expectations! A bad location, bums sitting across the street when we arrived, no decent restaurants in the immediate area. The whole place seemed to be out dated, small rooms, and dirty bathroom. Toilet seat was broken, mold in the shower/tub area. No a lot of outlets to plug into, I had to unplug a lamp by the bed in order to plug in cell phone.
  
  Staff did seem nice, which helped out but regardless we will never stay at this location again. We are used to paying the higher price for the stay but this place is defiantly not worth the money.

  We needed a room overnight in Columbia for a family of four. This hotel gave us a comfortable room and a fairly decent breakfast. I would have preferred a few more hot items, like some sausage links or waffles, but the food was good; the stay was comfortable and suited our needs well. The lady attending to the breakfast bar was extremely cordial to us. I also liked the 12 o'clock checkout time.
