Stayed in this hotel Aug 30-Sep2, 2008 while visiting my daughter who is in her third year at Appalachian State. Conveniently located near campus, the rooms have very comfortable beds with choice of firm or soft pillows. Built in work area (free wireless, yes!) two separate areas for hanging clothes, and spacious bathroom all make for a very nice stay, especially with the reasonable rate. Be sure to notice the carved tree with climbing bears in the lobby next to the front desk! I will definitely choose the Hampton Inn for my next visit.

I liked the location of the hotel as it was very easy to find. The front-desk clerk was very helpful and gave great directions to local areas of interest. The room was very clean and had been recently remodeled which was nice. The only down side to our stay was the beds were very uncomfortable and we didn't sleep very well. However, it could have been just our room as we were happy with the rest of the hotel.
