  This hotel was wonderful, great breakfast, rooms clean and everyone willing to help with any thing. Other reviews on this site are from 2007 maybe has a new owner now not sure. But we were very satisfied! We went to other hotels in Taos just to see how they were and believe me this is the best one for the money. Others are very old and not kept up. It is a little ways from town but well worth it, actually less traffic on that end and only about a mile into the actual square.

  This hotel is under renovation. we were not informed of this when we booked. our room had wet varnish on the doors (my hand print has been captured for eternity), ...

  This hotel is under renovation. We were not informed of this when we booked. Our room had wet varnish on the doors (my hand print has been captured for eternity), paint on the carpet, little furniture, and reeked of paint fumes (we had to open the window). In addition, it's not close to anything. The staff was not knowledgable regarding transportation options either, so we had to figure it out for ourselves. We would not return.
