The hotel is basically clean and the staff were friendly, but the hotel is not up to Hampton Inn standards. The bathroom needs to be upgraded - mold around the tub; carpet frayed at bathroom door. Bed was o.k. Breakfast was not too good. Although I am tired of Hampton In's standard rubbery eggs, this place was worst - all egg choices were in pre-made, pre-packaged and frozen sandwiches for the guest to heat up. And I am a a semi-vegetarian and non of the egg choices were without meat. I choose Hamptons because of an expected equality of quality from hotel to hotel - thus one let me down. I also didn't appreciate the double booking of my room that caused an unexpected guest to try to access my room in the middle of the night - but I realize any hotel can make a mistake. It is sub-standard for a Hampton Inn but is an o.k. stay - but a bit pricey for the lack of Hampton quality.

Our family trip started in Laurinburg, NC. After a long flight with two kids, we were looking forward to a good nights sleep. Unfortunately, the map we had printed from the travel website for the hotel was wrong and we drove around for about an hour in the dark trying to find the hotel. We finally called and the person at the front desk was very helpful and filled us in on the fact that the mapquest directions through the travel website are incorrect. Don't know whose responsibility that is but I hope it gets fixed to avoid the confusion that we experienced. On the positive side, we learned a valuable lesson to call the hotel ahead to get good directions. The room was good sized and comfortable, but had a musty oder. The beds were also too firm for our liking. Plenty of pillows. We did appreciate the ability to plug our laptop in and check on work. Good breakfast bar the next morning.
