Front desk was very friendly and efficient. Room service was fast also. The only problem I had was waking up at 2 a.m. and seeing huge roaches near the ceiling. I called the front desk and the security guard came and immediately killed one. The next day they did change my room.

Stayed here while my daughter played in a basketball tournament. OK for the price, would not like to stay here for a whole week of vacation with the entire family. Smaller rooms, and only double beds. I prefer 2 queens. Would be a tight fit for a family of 4, but OK for just the 2 of us. Breakfast was good, and cookies for a snack. Every chain restaurant are within a mile or so, so no need to go far for dinner. Needed a late check out and was able to get a 2pm check out. My room had a fridge and micro wave in it at checkin......nice surprise. Needed some extra pillows (on the smaller size) and was brought up very quickly. Heating unit turned on and off frequently......I liked the white noise when it was on, but the cycling through quickly was a little annoying. Walls are thin, so the white noise was nice to have. Would stay again for the same situation, but like I said before, for a family vacation I would go somewhere else.

It's a moderate-low priced hotel room, and that's pretty much what you get. I'd admittedly say my review is on the negative side due to personal preferences, but it is what it is. The staff was friendly enough, the room was just okay if not sub-par, and the location was good for our purposes. Thing is, if you're used to a quiet environment at home, the noise level will most likely get to you. The hotel is next to I-64, which is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it's great for travel purposes, a curse because the hotel is not very insulated for noise. We left the AC on all night for some white noise to drown out the cars & trucks. The beds were not the most comfortable I've experienced with big fat lumpy pillows. Some might be into that, but this made for a restless evening sleep-wise for me and my wife. As I say, this is from a personal perspective. If you can overlook these things and are interested in a convenient place for an evening or two because you're on a roadtrip or going to the Hampton Coliseum for something, this is probably your place. If you're looking for rest and relaxation, you might try somewhere else. As for me, I'll look elsewhere next time.

I stayed at the hotel while checking my daughter into Hampton University for her Freshman Orientation week. The location was excellent! Close to restaurants and shopping and only 10 minutes from the University. The rooms were clean and I felt safe, especially since I was traveling alone. Rooms opened to the interior. Only suggestion would be that room decor was a little outdated, but other than that, I was thoroughly pleased with what I got for the price and breakfast. Will stay again.
