After reviewing descriptions and pictures of this hotel on the internet, I booked 2 rooms for myself and family. Upon arrival we found the location to be far less than desirable. The grounds, exterior of the building and surrounding area is equivalent to the ghetto.The driveway, parking lot and walkways suffer for the need of regular maintenance and upkeep. Prior to checking in the desk clerk allowed us to enter one room for viewing purposes only. we found the room to be very dissatisfactory ( filthy carpet, dingy linen and towels, peeling paint, cigarette burns in non smoking room, broken furniture and a very unpleasant oder. Even though we refused to stay there, the manager,even after speaking with the on-line travel agent, refused to cancel our reservation even though I offered to pay one third the full price just to cancel this reservation and go to a decent hotel. Needless to say, we paid full price for rooms we could not use. We were able to get rooms at a very nice Hampton inn about a mile away on the same road. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS HOTEL!

This was the worst Quality Inn we have ever stayed in. The staff was pleasant, but could not move us to another room or assist us because the hotel was booked solid, as were all the hotels in the area or we would have relocated sooner. I have photos of the rooms. There is mold on the ceilings and walls (and I & my grandson have asthma), cracks in the walls, at least 3 different types of paint on the walls, outlets were loose and hazardous, there were water stains, the door chains were cracked and not secured, toilets did not flush correctly, but maintenance did come to fix the toilets.The rooms smelled strongly of urine. There was a 2 inch gap under the door of 205 that we had to block off with towels because cold air was blowing in. (The wind was very strong on Tuesday and Weds!) The bathtub did not drain properly in 205 the first night, but was fixed. The sheets in both rooms were stained and were NOT changed daily-the same sheets were on the beds when we left as when we came. There were cigarette burns in the comfortor in room 205, which was supposed to be a non smoking room. The light switch controlled the alarm clock in 205 and we asked that it not be turned off by anyone because we had to keep resetting it, and finally gave up because they continued to turn the switch off. The paint is chipped on the handrails and flakes off into splinters into your hands, the sidewalk is in severe disrepair. I have taken photos of the hotel and our rooms. We finally got rooms elsewhere on our 4th night. This was a HORRIBLE place to stay!

Terrible room
01/15/2007Roach on bed, bath door knob difficult to open, smelled bad, mattress squeakes, general disrepair. wife refused to stay secon d night.
