Hyatt Bethesda disappointing

Location is great, staff is friendly and helpful. But this hotel isn't up to Hyatt standards.The wallpaper is peeling in places, room carpet/closet track not too clean and the blanket ratty. The rate was reasonable though. Makes me wonder if this was a online travel website room?

The room was much larger than I expected. We had a corner room which gave us large window expanses. I was disapointed in the king size bed. The matress dipped on one side. The carpeting was clean but looked like it needed an update. It served our purposes, with an added bonus of having a seating area for 5. Morton's steakhouse is excellent. Try the house specialty. Well worth the price, the best cut of meat I have eaten anywhere. (connected to hotel) I went for the presidential inauguration, the Metro is under the hotel and only a 15 min ride on the subway from downtown DC.

The staff were always friendly and were always ready to assist. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is located one block from Bethesda Avenue (shops, theatres, movies,restaurants) and is located on Metro Center One(easy traveling to sights in DC).The Daily Grind and Morton's restaurants are excellent and located in the hotel. Will stay there again.
