My past experiences with this location were always beyond perfect. However, this past stay was a nightmare. We stayed two nites and had the following issues: (1) No notifications regarding the horrid construction around the hotel on the web or by staff the day of our check-in via telephone. It took us an extra half an hour to find the "detour" since we were from out of town (2) The room was dated and only had one robe in it even though we made it clear more than once (while making reso and upon arrival) that there were two adults on the reservation and it was our anniversary. (3) The tub in the bathroom had hair in it. (4) There was no concierge on duty at 9:30 am or 9:30 pm on a Saturday when my husband wanted to make special arrangements. (4) The staff could not answer simple questions about special packages we were interested in purchasing for our special occasion. The hotel's response to our unhappy stay was a phone call and a voucher that was worth less than an average nite's stay. Never again.

The bad's...the beds were hard, the pool is small but wet, the hot tub is hidden behind a wall and you cannot watch your family from it, you have to PAY *a day for internet in the room (in the days of free wifi at the McD's), and the food in the dining room is overpriced, the walls are thin, the airconditioner does not cool very quickly, and the cleaning staff comes into the rooms really early whether you are in the room or not (and don't leave). Very nice hotel just outside Detroit. Although the room we stayed in was average (very small TV that can't really be viewed from the bed), the hotel was very safe and modern. The pool and hot tub were great and the fitness center had everything you could need or want.

The rooms were large and clean while the bathroom was showing signs of age. A major complaint was the central elevator bank. Besides the fact you could hear the binging bell for the elevator as it reached the floor above/below you, it was inconvient to the folks who had rooms at either end of the floor. Be prepared for a hike! Also the parking is far away from the building. Otherwise, had a great time, would stay there again!
