This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are well appointed (flat screen, robes, slippers) and clean. The staff are generally attentive and friendly. The gym is large and has very good equipment and is free. Now the words of caution...the extra's prices are exorbitant. A grilled chicken sandwich and coke came to USD45.00. The coke alone was USD8.00. You will also pay a premium for internet access.

Ceylan Intercontinental was great, after a long day of sightseeing and dinner you can't beat a surprise complimentary champagne bottle waiting for you at the room when you happen to be there on your birthday, that will tell you about their attentiveness to detail. Overall staff was very polite from the bellboy almost running out to the street to grab your luggage to the welcoming smiles of the rest of the staff. Rooms were kept very clean and nicely designed with marble wood and built in fridge, and snack bar, free room and reception safes were very handy, not to mention the nice high rise room view and/or from their top floor bar/restaurants. It's also perfectly located at walking distance from Taksim one the main shopping streets and around the corner from the (10dlls) Havag shuttle to the airport (in case you don't wan't to spend the 60dlls either way). Internet is not free but their system set up is very professional and you can purchase a 3 day pass for about 30 dlls but the quality of the hotel makes up for any such extra expense. Highly recommended for any type of vacation in Istanbul! I'd definitely stay again,

A really grand hotel ! Very good location (within walking distance from taksim square and the pedestrian istiklal street), luxury public spaces, staff friendly, superb restaurants and high quality food, guest rooms ampious and well fournished. The ""city lights bar"" on the rooftop was amazing, I think it's the best in town. This hotel is one of the best I ever stayed, simply impressive !
