I am currently on night one of my 2 night stay here at the Hilton in Silver Spring, and I am absolutely disgusted by it. The hotel is dirty, the elevators smell musty, the carpets are dirty, and not to mention that there is crusted on food/throwup/nastiness on the window curtains. I'm beyond uncomfortable because I don't want to touch anything. Their only saving grace is the kind and pleasant staff. Find a different hotel if cleanliness is important to you!

Was expecting alot more from a Hilton seeing as how I have stayed in so many. Very small bathroom which could not fit two people in any way. The parking thing is adressed in many other reviews so I will not repeat it here except to say that they really do take their time. My TV console was broken when I arrived but they did fix it within minutes of my arrival. Other than that the hotel is right in the center of the town with many dining locations only a block or two away. But at the samt time there are many other hotels you might be interested in staying at.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times over the past 2 years. Recently I stayed and was very disappointed. First of all, I hate having to pay for valet parking when I can park the car myself. I feel this is a money-making scheme. I wouldn't mind if I weren't staying at the hotel or if the parking were far away, but it is only a few feet away! It is very inconvenient when you come and go often. The first night I went down to the car to get something and was quite surprised to find one of the attendants hanging out in my car! He had the seat reclined, the radio blasting and the AC was on. He apolized but I was still upset. I complained to the front desk about it, but they didn't seem overly concerned. After I checked out and was driving home, I came to a toll booth and realized all my change was missing! I complained on the Hilton Honors site and never received a reply. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

The room was everything I'd expect from a Hilton, though the bathroom was a little on the small side. Bed was very comfortable, and the entire hotel was very clean and neat, even though they may have had a smaller staff on hand due to the holiday time period. Location was wonderful; less than a 10-minute walk from the DC Metro subway, and just 8 miles or so from the White House by car. Valet parking only ($12 a day) was one drawback in that I don't need someone to park my car for me; I felt guilty parking for just a few minutes, then coming back to ask for the car again. I felt guilty on my own, but the parking attendants were very understanding! I'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed here while visiiting brother in Walter Reed. Free shuttle saved hassle w/traffic, security, etc. Room upgraded to a suite at no extra $. After hours dinner in the lounge was as good as in the rest. Service was probably better. Valet parking cheap by big city standards. Kiosk allowed printing of boarding passes on site.
