We stayed in a standard double at this beautiful hotel on a visit to the University of Cincinnati. We received a good rate. (Keep in mind the addition of taxes/fees on top of the room rate: ours was about $20 extra per night. Obviously, this fee is not set by the hotel.) The room was very clean and very large. The hotel still holds some of the graciousness of a by-gone era. Parking is free. The customer has control of window unit AC and radiation heat. The hotel restaurant has outstanding food and very attentive staff. It is a stone's throw from the University, the Cincinnati Zoo, Xavier University and many other attractions. The hotel is obviously updating the facilities progressively, but this did nothing to detract from the actual comfort of the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I think the discounted rate was appropriate for our particular room.

Stayed overnight for Monday Night Football. The free parking was great, felt lot was secure. The shuttle was GREAT... to and from the game, and the driver was so nice and accomodating. Room was clean and fine for an overnight stay. Some of the front desk staff were nice, others could be a little quicker about customer service. Breakfast buffet was good, but the food was a little cold since it was nearing the end of breakfast. Only true complaint is that housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30AM!!!!!! We had to yell through the door that we were still sleeping, but the lady apologized to us when she saw us in the hall later. Overall, satisfied with the stay, the hotel was clean, the shuttle service and proximity to downtown was amazing, and I would stay there again for a brief stay.

The hotel has an old world charm, with spacious rooms and views of the surrounding neighborhoods. If you have a laptop computer, there is a charge for hooking up for internet access. This is refunded when you turn the hook-up device back in, but it was not explained clearly by staff. The hotel is centrally located by area attractions, and the view from the rooftop is excellent, especially at night! The air conditioning is a standard room air conditioner.
