The staff is very friendly. However------the restaurant is awful. Would recommend that you eat elsewhere. Cruise ship people come 3 times per week and the staff cater to them and not to the hotel guests. Umbrellas are broken and very hard to get one. The pool is nice and located right next to the ocean. It is close to shopping and other restaurants so can easily walk to them. Or take a pulmonia got a nominal fee. I would stay again because of the location.

The service was horrible, some staff were friendly, but most were not helpful and some were down right rude. the room was ok, but i would never stay here again.

We stayed 3/15/08-3/25/08 Spring Break/Holy Week-BIG mistake! Our 1st room was over the street-very noisy- but the front desk gladly moved us to a quieter room. The staff was very pleasant. In our new room the air conditioner's compresser made a loud bang every time it came on, and there was no room safe. We also endured adolescent boys (it was spring break for the national's also) playing soccer in the halls at night, they tore plants from the atrium, and the stairwells smelled of urine. On our 6th day (at least 6 room cleanings, right?) we came back to our room to find two dirty, dusty toothbrushes (not ours!) on the vanity and discarded razor cartridges under the vanity. Gross!!!!!! We love Mazatlan, this was our 6th or 7th trip to this fun city. We will visit Mazatlan again, though not during Spring Break/Holy week and we will stay someplace else.
