This hotel features something for everyone: quiet and privacy for the weary vacationer (private "no kids allowed" swimming pool, separate hotel section), an excellent, full facility spa (with another private pool), and a big pool with gardens for the kids or more gregarious visitor. All of the rooms open on to the garden - this is beautiful, but can be noisy if there's a wedding or a party going full swing. The newer rooms are quieter, but the rooms in the old section of the hotel have incredible charm that's worth the noise. If you ask for room 39 or 40, you may even be able to see Popocatepetl at dawn. The restaurant is fantastic. My only complaint: it's a bit on tne expensive side. I've been staying at this hotel at least once a year for over 15 years.
