Excellent family spot

We found this hotel to be clean, comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and the standard room was just fine for all four of us. They brought in a roll-away at no extra charge and we still had room to move around in. One child was under 12, so she received a free breakfast. The breakfast was excellent, lots of hot and cold choices to chose from, and reasonable in price. There is a little man made lake that our room overlooked with a little boardwalk that had shops and eateries, as well as a movie theatre and an arcade. As a family, we enjoyed the boardwalk very much, there was live music there every night (and it was good). You could rent little paddle boats and go out on the lake. The pool was a bit warm the first day, but it cooled down the second day. It was clean and long enough to swim laps of just relax in. My only problem was that it was far from DC and it cost us $* to use public ttransporation (we went in on a Friday). On the other hand, it was nice to decompress after a full day of sightseeing. Once we came back, we felt like we could chill, I could take a nap, while the rest of my family could wander around the hotel and the boardwalk. I would stay here again, but of course, I would prefer to stay there on a week-end and drive in to DC so that I could park with no problem.

I rented the family suite and to my surprise was absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms were very spacious. The living room was a very nice size and had a fireplace. The kitchen was fantastic. All appliances were new and extremely clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. Definitely a good value for the money. I will seek out other Marriott Inns for future stays, because I so very much enjoyed this stay.
