    We stayed here b/c of closeness to our planned activity. I had stayed there several years ago w/ a conference and remembered it as being nice enough. This time: the rate was good (less $90 online and it was convenient for shopping. Decor - appeared tired; wall paper peeling in BR but it was otherwise clean except under the lip of the sink which was only noticeable w/ sitting, as it were. A light in BR was out; didn't bother complaining. 'Spa' toiletries were ok as were towels. As others noted, the bottom sheet came off -- even after taking particular pains to tuck it in. The sheets/mattress pad shifting all night was not comfortable so it was 2 nights of poor sleep. Fortunately, there was a Yankee Candle store in the mall so I was able to find nice room scents. Even w/ spraying directly on the AC vent, the room stayed very musty/icky smelling. Food trays were left overnight in the halls and the pool was so horrid that we did not get in it. Would not recommend the restaurant adjacent to hotel as it was very over priced w/ a poor health rating when we were there. Limited interactions with staff were fine. Yep, it cost for parking but there was free USA Today available. If price is low enough its tolerable.

    I stayed in the Wynfrey over the 4th of July weekend and I have to say, for a 4 star hotel, I was honestly disappointed. The hotel in all is nice but I?ve stayed in some 3 and 3.5 star holiday inn hotel rooms that were far superior to my room here in many ways. This hotel will nickel and dime you to death? making the great deal you get on online travel website an illusion at best. Parking was indeed 9 dollars per night as others have stated, as well as internet being 12 dollars every 24 hours. They also charge 55 cents per call for local calls. I couldn?t even use the mini-fridge to store the drinks I?d brought with me because it was stocked already with overpriced goods! At checkout, I overheard a man say his car had been broken into and that his GPS system was missing. Apparently the 9 dollars a night for parking doesn?t pay for a security guard? In all, the Wynfrey can be a nice hotel if you know what you?re getting yourself into ahead of time. The main reason people stay here in my opinion, is due to the convenient location. The Wynfrey is attached to one of the larger malls in the state and minutes away from some nice places to eat as well as the movies. I have to admit that it was nice to do a little shopping and after a short time walking, be back in my room or even the pool. My advice, don't choose this hotel if you're looking for a great deal or if you're looking at star rating alone. If you prefer convenience over everything else though, give this hotel a look. Just be sure to do your research before you pay for the room.

    They charged $9/day for parking in their garage. This wasn't specified when I made the reservation. The bath vent fan wasn't working ! Overall, it was okay. The location is good. Direct access to the Galleria mall is pretty convinient.
