I stayed here while in town on business and stayed just one night. We had a suite, so the first room included a kitchen area and then living room area that had a murphy bed and TV. The other room had regular bed, bathroom and then had a table and chairs. Both rooms had their own balcony and overlooked the beach. This would be a great room for a family. The beach access was easy and the hotel also had 2 onsite pools. One was under construction while I was there but the other one was open. The one that was open has a seasonal pool bar that you can swim up to and there were even some guest room that had pool access right from their patio--it was really cool. Front desk staff was friendly. Property is pretty large, so check in before you unload your luggae as you may need to move your car closer to your room. Rooms were a little on the older side as far as furniture style went but everything was comfortable and in working order. The location was great--easy access to the beach and the main road.

Disappointed at first when we saw the room for what we paid labor day weekend. Room was sorta dirty, needed some type of drying line for towels as there was no where to hang your beach towels or even your bath towels. For $* a night one should get a microwave, but we didn't. Also, bring your own power strip as we had issues with the outlets just plugging in our laptops, cellphones. Bed pillows were awful. Otherwise, the pools, splash garden, and beach access were very nice, especially for a family. Our 3 yr old loved the pools and splash gardens. beaches were great...easy to take your own chairs, coolers or you can rent loungers with umbrellas for $*/day or $* /day for multiple days. Also, nice touch was this place had children's activities scheduled each day. Recycling bins located at corners, but not in rooms. Factory outlets in san destin fairly close to here too..probably 10 miles.

The Ramada Plaza Beach Resort was perfect in every way. I stayed there in July with my two teenage girls. They loved the pools, swim up drink station, beachside access and all the extras too many to mention. The staff was always friendly and took care of anything we needed. It was kept clean both in our room and on the grounds. I have never been to this area on Florida before and was glad I chose the Ramada for our hotel. I would definitely stay there again if I get the opportunity to go!

My husband and I decided to get married in Fort Walton Beach. We got married through Barefoot Weddings and they suggested this hotel to us. When we arrived the inside was pretty but the service was pretty bad. J was the woman from the hotel working with our wedding coordinator and she got everything mixed up. We had originally planned our wedding for 6 but she booked someone else at the same time so we had to move it to 6:30. We couldn't have our reception there because the only room available to us was the hotel restaurant and it would be full of other people. When we did get married there was another wedding right beside us that started halfway through ours. They had a stereo playing loud enough that it was hard to recite our vows. The room was gross, bugs everywhere. We had a suite. I would not stay here again unless someone paid me. The only plus side is that its right on the beach. And the food at the restaurant was awful.

Great! Every staff member who walked by greeted us and asked if we needed anything. Kids activities at the kid's pool so parents could stiill have ""grown-up"" time in the grotto. The hotel has everything- shopping & restaurants with great prices on site- We will go to this hotel every Destin/Ft walton vacation from now on.
