We stayed one night and would never stay here again. This hotel is not clean or well maintained inside and out. The place needs painting. There was mildew in the shower. We were afraid to walk on the floors without shoes. The bed was comfortable, but we were afraid to touch the blanket or bedspread. The continental breakfast is served in a converted hotel room. The tables weren't clean and the hotel's long-term residents appear to use it as their personal hang-out. We don't like to critize, but yuk!

External doors are not locked so anyone can wander in to the hotel in the middle of the night. Windows in room did not fit. Smoke from smokers outside filled the halls. Breakfast was very poor and inedible. Rates changed on us from what was booked and did not honor the booked rate since it was a "Special" weekend during graduations. This was a hotel policy. Wifi did not reach this room, desk was no help. Even though we had four people in the room I had to get more towels every day. Right off of the highway and you knew it.

Pleasantly Surprised

I only chose this hotel because everything else near Mt. Holyoke was sold out. I was very skeptical before arriving, and prepared to find somewhere else even 30-45 minutes away. But the room wasn't bad at all; it's just an older property. And the staff was so friendly, accomodating and efficient that they more than made up for any shortcomings. For instance, there was a problem with the heating and I had to head out. By the time I came back, the room temperature was perfectly comfortable. I'm a woman who often travels alone for business and usually lodge at Sheraton or Marriott properties. This is no Sheraton. But they don't charge Sheraton prices either. And it was comfortable and secure. I felt safe. And I'd definitely stay again when visiting the school.
