The room was of medium size and could have used a sitting chair and ottoman. Desk chair provided was good for the desk but not for TV watching. Bed was excellent, comfortable and large. Bathroom needed an exhaust vent but everything else was very good. Plenty on towels. Pool and hot tub and free buffet breakfast were very good.

I was on a business trip and my business selected this hotel for 50 members to stay for a week and I had to have a place to relax after a hard day's work. The hotel is under renovation and many of the rooms in which people were staying were right next to the renovation area. The room certainly was nothing special. The bathroom looked like it had the remains leftover from several previous travelers but the rest of the room was satisfactory. I am the type that would rather keep people from coming in to roam through my things while I am gone for the day despite the fact that they may not change the sheets daily. Room door did not have any Do Not Disturb sign on it and had to go to the front desk and have them look for ten minutes trying to find one. View from the window ovelooked the construction dumpster. The backyard is a well-used railroad track. Hotel was close to the Insterstate which was handy and the front desk staff were courteous but overall was simply an average property charging twice the price of a 2 star motel for the brand name. Certainly not worth $* per night.

This is my 3rd stay in the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Charleston,WV. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. The pool is great for kids -not too deep. The breakfast is always very good. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Good stay for the price.

The online agency listing says this hotel is in the ""Charleston Area"". Well...guess what...It isn't! It is almost an hour WEST of Charleston. We were on a a biz trip from Richmond, VA to Columbus, OH...this hotel would have sent us almost 2 hours out of our way, and burned up tons of gas. If you were looking for a good rate near Charleston like we were, AVOID THIS HOTEL! It is NOT AT ALL CLOSE to Charleston, and certainly NOT in the Charleston area! $* flushed down the toilet for my company...Ugh!

We booked two rooms and when we got to one there was already someone in it. There were some dirty old ear plugs that were hanging on a string in our bathroom. The trash cans and ice buckets were missing bags. Wet paint signs all over. Over all it just did not seem as clean as what I would expect from a Ramada. The breakfast was wonderful however and is what saved it. There was plenty for food with lots of options and they kept it full.
