I checked in today at 3:00 pm. They are paving the parking lot at the hotel. The work is right outside my room and is extremely noisy. It is still going on WELL BEYOND 6:00 pm (the time the front desk said the work would be done when I called and complained). My main complaint is that when I checked in, there were 6 cars in the parking lot. There was NO need to put me in a room directly next to the grinding/scraping/banging noises that were occurring outside. The front desk was well aware of the noise level because my room is right near the front office and they heard it too at check-in. There are sufficient rooms available and I should have been placed away from the noise. This was very inconsiderate on their behalf. When I called to complain, the least they could have done was offer me a room across the hall where no work is being done. Instead, I was told ""no worries"". At least 50% of the rooms are away from the work and are available. DON'T STAY HERE, THEY DON'T CARE.

We found this hotel as we were passing through town and we were very glad we did! This facility was very clean, room was very nice, staff was helpful and the hot breakfast was super! There is also a great restaurant next door that is out of this world! ( Black Bear Diner) there was some construction going on but it looks like this hotel is really doing some great improvements and we will definitely stay here again when we come to town!

The site is under some exterior remodeling, which makes the place look like a dump. I understand this, but getting into the office and my room really showed what this place was really like: a dump. Walking down to the elevator outside the joint, really showed what this place was all about. Then walking into my room to the musty smell, really told me what I was in for. I work for a painting company, and even our traveling paint crews would not stay here, as they tell me: "it is all about the smell".
Then, I realized that my air condition did not work. They changed my room at 12:00 a.m. This sucked....but I had to do it to keep sane.
Do not stay here if you are not a cheesy tourist! -

Although the hotel had recently been redcorated, the smoking rooms/floor needed additional attention. Very strong odor and dirty. Also, very noisey, as it sits right off a very busy road and across the street from a railroad track and crossing!
