I thought I was getting the best price on travel website and when I got there I hear the desk person giving someone else a lower rate. Then she lied to me about why it was lower. The room and bathroom were dated and dirty. The KFC in town had horrible employees and the place was filthy. Other than that, it was great (please sense the sarcasm). Fortunately this was only a one-night stop on an otherwise fantastic family vacation.

Overrated

The view is OK, but mostly unless you get select rooms you'll see power lines and trees. To photograph the sunset I had to go out to the parking lot. The staff is incompetent; every day I had to visit the front desk to reactivate my key and telephone. Santa Rosa is a rundown place with little to do. Make sure to bring an Ethernet cord as none are provided and dial-up access is impossible in this remote location. The furnishings are nice though.
