Not worth the money!

My sister, mother, 4 children and myself stayed at this hotel while visiting friends for the weekend. I specifically reserved this hotel for it's location, pool and connecting rooms. Checking in was slow, and the desk employee refused to give me my AAA discount even though I had my memebership card with me. After checking in, we were unable to find the elevator to the 2nd floor and then were told they don't have an elevator. It is difficult for my mother to used the stairs, so we asked for the rooms to be moved to the 1st floor. When we finally made it to the room, they were not connecting nor were they non-smoking. The sign on the doors of the rooms said they were to be non-smoking, but the hallway was filled with smoke and the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. When I mentioned this to the front desk, their reply was there wasn't anything they could do about it. There were only 3 towels in each room, and when we asked the front desk for more towels, we were told they didn't have any available! I could understand not having any available for the pool, but for the rooms?! How can you be a hotel and not have any towels available?! He said we would have to wait until housekeeping came in the next morning. When we checked out the next morning, we were told to contact the manager for our AAA credit, which I did. She credited the account for the AAA discount, but nothing more. When told about the towel situation, she stated that they usually run out of towels and guests have to wait until the next morning. If this happens all the time, why don't you get more towels?! Avoid this hotel!

I booked two rooms for a birthday get together for 6 ladies. Nothing rowdy just a ladies weekend away. When I arrived the entrance to the hotel is lovely but that's where it ends. The hotel rooms look like throwbacks to the 70's and not in a good way. There were cracked ceilings, peeling paint, stained carpets and stale cigarette smoke that envelopes you when you walk down the hallways to get to your room. We bumped into some already inebriated men who could barely stand much less move out of the way. I would never stay here again and I belive the rating on the hotel should be much lower.

After checking in at 12:00 midnight, we were awakened by the clock radio in the adjacent unoccupied room at 5:30 AM. It felt as though the radio was right next to my head as I tried to continue to sleep. After a half hour had passed, I finally called the front desk to have someone enter the room and turn it off. I was also concerned that when we entered the side entrance, no key was required. You simply had to pull the door open to gain access. Anyone could enter at any time."
