Went to the Billy Idol concert at the Horseshoe Casino. This was the nearest hotel to the casino and it had a free shuttle that took us back and forth. The neighborhood south of the hotel was a step above Beruit, so be prepared. All in all, for $$ you aren't going to get anything nicer in that area, nor closer to the casino. The staff was attentive and friendly. The pool was outdoors and very cheery. One thing that I did not care for was that the hotel shared a parking lot with a huge wedding banquet facility. If you are unlucky enough to stay there at the same time as a big wedding party (as we were) plan on being entertained in your room by the macerana, chicken dance, and maybe even a little hokey pokey.

Much improved from summer of 2007 when the rooms were smelly and disgusting. The hotel has completed its renovation project. It is not all new, but it's much better than last year. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff and common areas are acceptable. Did not check out the pool although it does look nice. Overall, a good but not great hotel but it's a good price and conveniently located for my needs.

This place is gross...2nd floor rooms with NO elevator & no offer to help with luggage, Rooms are filthy (grandbaby's shoes so dirty we had to toss them). Night desk lady was very snotty. If you need to stay in the No. Hammond/Whiting area, go north on Calumet towards Munster, don't stay here. We've stayed here before over past 10 years as it's close to family, but we will NEVER stay there again. Ramanda should be embarrassed to have their name on this dive. This place is a dump...go elsewhere!
